My team are through to the interview stage, trying to get stuff together; we’re a tad unprepared. The team leader should receive a phone call and an email me thinks informing them of the details and congratulating them.
All the best to competing teams :D

No our team didnt get through :(
Guess we just have to settle for future play ;)One of the Ballyfermmot teams did and I wish them the best of luck, they have a great game and a great team. I hope they do really well.
Our team lead was contacted today with the news that we were unsuccessful in our application and was give relevant feedback. Even though we didnt get through the feed back is really appreciated.
parrotbait check with your team lead. He/she should have received notice.

Congrats to everyone who made it though. Well done also to those who entered the competition. Hopefully you all learnt a few things even if you didn’t make it through this time.

hey parrotbait,
This is only for the Irish heats, the deadline for Scotland is later than ours. You probably wont hear anything for a few days.

Congratulations to all concerend,
on the plus side, and considering the quality of work that JohnMonkey and his team can produce, the fact that teams have been turned down for interview can only mean a surge in applicants for the competition this year.
(I’m sure all the others teams that were unsuccessful are of high quality, but I’ve only seen samples of John’s work)
Oh and JohnMonkey can you PM me again about that info you wanted, I can’t seem to find the original message.
Best of luck to all at the next stage, and feel free to post questions, there are quite a few on here that can offer very valuable insight.

on the plus side, and considering the quality of work that JohnMonkey and his team can produce, the fact that teams have been turned down for interview can only mean a surge in applicants for the competition this year.[/quote:96ea768b66]There were 13 entries this year (all Ireland) which represents an approx. a 50% increase over previous years. The standard of entries, for the most part, was better than in previous years too
Congrats to the 6 teams selected for interview and commiserations to the teams that weren’t

Didn’t get through the Scottish section, got a decent amount of feedback some I agree with, some not so. Will be very very interested to see what comes out of the Scottish section this year for a few reasons!

Our team just got through! unbelievable. We had serious doubts about how things would go down but the Q&A wasnt nearly as bad as we thought, really really relieved now.
Real work begins soon enough though

yea i was on john monkey team , we where at bit down and out about not
even getting an interview , cause we had done alot of good work , but we did think the feedback we got was interesting , but we believe in our idea , and still do . plus as john said we already had good news about future play , and another competition, so it means we have to keep working on our over the summer , and that our work does not go to waste. oh and i hope the other ballyer team get into dare, those guys are my friends , and they had a nice idea , that was really really well put together .
