Not heard anything. I wonder if it’s an entirely new degree or if it has stemmed from the comp sci or multimedia departments. Will keep an eye on it.

Just an FYI (not a shameless plug at all )
The DIT has a wonderful games programming stream in its BSc in Computer Science degree. Subjects include:
Intro to games programming (ludology & 2D gaming)
Modding (currently based on the Crytek engine)
Mobile robotics
Programming Game Worlds (lost of maths, DirectX & C++)
Programming Game Behavior (Collision detection, pathfinding, AI)
AI 1 & 2
Digital audio
Music technology
Middleware (physics/audio/networking)
Mobile & mulitplayerI know cause I teach on it! We have put a lot of thought into the course. Its got a good balance of ludology & design vs maths/physics/programming as befits a computer science course. BTW you also study the usual comp sci stuff, databases, web programming, computer technology/maths knowledge management etc.
Have a look here at some of the course notes:
http://www.comp.dit.ie/bduggan/Courses/games/index.html
We also hosted CGAMES in 2006 http://www.comp.dit.ie/cgames/
Feel free to give me a shout if you want any more information. We really must do better at promoting ourselves!

Just saw on the RTE news about some games Masters couse thats starting in Dublin soon. Everyone gets there own 360. but its programing and stuff so i think the computer science couse would be better in the long run for anyone intrested.
I am more into Level design etc so i dont need to worry.

Now am getting confused with all this new games programming :?: :?:
Can any one just bullet point the new courses? -

I have to agree with Ola, a lack of transparency with the courses is very confusing.
I feel that everytime I come onto to the site a new, better course appears, and the confusion grows.
Apart from "http://www.gamedevelopers.ie/courses/", is there another list?
