I pre-ordered it ages ago and have been playing TF2 since it was unlocked and absolutely love it. I also gave Portal a bash today it was fantastic, extremely slick, great puzzles and really fun overall. I haven’t played Ep 1 yet so I won’t be going near Ep 2 until thats done and dusted but in terms of value for money and the actual content Orange Box is brilliant, highly recommended!
(I was actually running out of adjectives during that post, need I say more ;))

The updated source engine might slow my laptop down a bit for episode 2, it’s meant to be gorgeous. I’ve a very high spec laptop though, but I still want to play it problem free, so I’ll play it with a joypad instead. I can at least compromise for that. Portal will be great on both i;d imagine, but they are allowing PC users to create more maps, so I want that. And TF2 with a mouse and keyboard, mainly because I’m a huge counterstrike nerd.

This is quite interesting VALVE developed the 360 and PC version themselves but the PS3 version got shipped off to some EA team.

eDen, if you’re worried about playing Ep 2 on your laptop then I’d strongly suggest playing TF2 on it before you buy it as out of the entire box I’ve found that the most demanding requirements wise, that is of course assuming you want it to look anyway decent.
As for Portal, yes the addition of maps is something that is HAS to going to be done, especially if Valve don’t want an army of annoyed fans on their forums. Basically the game, even with the Advanced maps, is WAAAY too short but on the bright side I really do thinks there’s going to be some extremely inventive maps coming from the community very soon. Actually I’d say Adam Foster (the designer of the truely awesome Minerva mod) will have a field day with this. :)
As for offloading the PS3 port to EA, well just take a look at some of Newell’s recent comments for the explanation for that one. ;)
