      Saw a trailer for EA’s Mirror’s Edge, and thought…meh.

      http://www.mirrorsedge.com/ls/en/index.asp

Then I watched it again, and realised, that apparently, all the video footage is actual in-game, player-controlled action.

I am actually looking forward to this now. Its got elements of A2M’s "WET" and maybe some Matrix/Trinity, with some Vendetta-like themes.

The stockholm-based studio, Dice( http://www.dice.se/ ) have some interesting video’s up on their site, of "Life @ Dice." I didn’t realise it but they are also the brains behind all the Battlefield series.

Looks like there is plenty happening in up in Stockholm…

It reminds me a bit of Assassin’s Creed. It looks amazing and is doing something very innovative, but doesn’t look like the gameplay will be great.

‘Meh’ is still where I’m at for now.

Prepare for a new wave of ‘more immersive’ copycat fps games where you see more of your body interacting with the world, hear your breathing hasten after a sprint etc.

There was a deadly Nike ad a while back which was like a player’s first person view of a game, if you could work around teh game play mechanics I think it could make an awesome looking soccer game

Having stood in every queue in GC, I’d personally say the biggest was for CoD5.

Dice are a great company, they’ve done some fantastic things, but I’ll withold judgement until I play it.

Dito, trailers and previews so far have looked extremely promising. The former being something really new and innovative while the latter just reminds me of Event Horizon which I love. ;)
