I really enjoyed this 2008 interview with Quantic Dream’s David Cage. He’s the man behind Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain.
He’s gained a lot of attention about his views over the future of game studios. With the creation of Fahrenheit, he brought production and design together to serve in the role as ‘director’. Now he’s ruffled a few feathers by calling the vast majority of games ‘toys’ and argues that the industry needs to mature and start creating games that adults can enjoy.
"I think cinema would be limited if it were only The Incredibles or Beowulf… you see what I mean. I think exactly the same of games. There’s room for different styles and different stories to be told."
