      Hey all !

Following an update in LinkedIn, Aphra suggested (very sensibly) that I post some news. So here we are… It’s mostly iPhone based, since this device is still the craziest device around.

      – Platypus, the PC game we ported for Handmark, had a new release on the App Store a few days ago. You can now have a 2 players game over a wifi network, and also listen to the device music while playing. The game, which is also available on Blackberry amongst others, will soon be ported to the Storm, which has, like the iPhone, a big screen and Touch/Tilt controls.
      – zodttd (http://www.zodttd.com), well known in the homebrew community for his countless portings and emulators, is working on an old school platform game. Our middleware was chosen for its performances and ease of development. They have a blog covering the development at http://www.30daygame.com, including screenshots and videos.
      – Finally, BitRabbit is working on 2 new original IPs, one is a casual 2D game, which could be described as "Bejeweled meets poker" and the other is a 3D casual game.

      Cheers David,

currently also in discussions with new portings and creation of new games… But it’s too soon yet to announce anything ! Fingers crossed

Of course, on the games we’re working on in house, they won’t be iPhone specific, but also most smartphone platforms and PC/Mac.

Nice one Michael – you definitely got a great review from the 30daygame project regarding speed. What all games in the App store are using your engine so far? If any get released in the future, definitely let us know about them – it’s always cool to hear about a release that has had some element of Ireland and the games industry attached to it.

      Mal
