This week of events will see animation talks this coming weekend which may be worth catching…
see for example Celebrated illustrator and artist Gary Baseman conduct an in-depth interview with award-winning illustrator Steve Simpson

Also music, short films etc. etc.
Mind you it looks like you need a weekend ticket even if you are only interested in one of two talks.
