The answer to that question is yes, they did need QA. I was making them 7 years ago.
Look, bluntly, if you have a number of years QA experience why not just apply?

Not really supposed to comment on this. However, in my own **personal** *opinion*, if you have several years of XP as a QA manager then you will probably get an interview if you apply.
