      Hi Everyone,

      I was wondering whether anyone here has any recommendations of companies to try and get Work Experience in for Transition Year. Specifically game development (Obviously :P).

      So far, I have contacted:
      -PopCap
      -Jolt
      -Microsoft

      And I was wondering if there was any other companies which I may have missed which may be good.

      Hi Gavin,

      If you don’t have any luck with the companies, DIT take on transition year students. You can sit in on the various game development classes.

      In my experience you also need to show you can do something for them…so if you have particular skills in software programmes, or art/drawing or music then let them know.

      Also it depends on the time of year and how long you want

      @aphra       Yeah, I have done a lot of programming with C++, Objective-C and C# (I like the C family :P) so I have been making a big point of it.
