Most of us grew up playing PC gaming and through the success of indie developers (some from our little island) PC gaming has been revitalised in the last few years.
Windows 8 is the biggest change to Windows in 15 years and represents one of the biggest opportunities for game developers to sell their games to customers in over 200 countries and make money they way they want with the most developer friendly rates of any mobile marketplace.
This one day event is being organised specifically for game makers be they developers, students, artists, engineers, designer etc.
During the day we will have keynote speakers from Microsoft Games studios, hear first hand from International and Irish developers who have built games for multiple platforms including Windows 8. Learn how Windows 8 integrates with the tools you already use such as Unity, GameMaker, Havok, Monogame, GameSalad and more.We will also have an expo area for you to meet and play with some of the top Irish indie game talent, game engine makers, the finalists from the Imagine Cup competition and all of the Microsoft gaming tech.
If you want to expo your games in the expo area PM or post below.
If you have suggestions for topics you would like to see covered please comment.February 28th – Aviva Staium

I have put this in the calendar now.
Looking forward to seeing how this develops but folks throw in some ideas about speakers/workshops etc….and you never know what might happen

the date for the Games Ireland Gig (last year in the Gibson hotel) has been moved and will co-locate with the Microsoft event this year. So adjust your calendars…they all happen on the 28th Feb. now.
I think they are also looking for ideas for the format…so post them here and we will pass them on.
