      Hi all,

      Ive been programming in java,c# and a small bit of c++ for the past year and now i want to learn more about game programming in c++. Does anyone know of any good c++ game programming books?

      remember reading Michael Dawson book about two years ago.
      thought it was pretty good.

      personally think i like c# more ( its 95% the same, but nicer tools IMO, so maybe check out some c# stuff later).

      I would counter that and say…learn C++.
      Dabble in C#, but learn C++.

      If you want employment learn C\C++, Java and Python.

      Lua is worth a look as loads of projects use it for scripting. Haskell is good to learn about functional programming too.

      If you are already familiar with Java learning some Groovy (my bias is for this ;), Scala or Clojure might be an idea.
