Why unpaid for 2 months? Surely if you actually want the best of the best you’d be willing to pay from the get go? Otherwise it just sounds like you want to take advantage of someone for free labour.
I’m seeing more and more of this in the games industry over here. It’s sad to see.
This is all i’m seeing with regards to artists. A lot of companies looking for Artist to work for nothing for a few months? And sometimes the fact is that desperate artists WILL do it thus unwittingly undercutting professionals who deserve to be paid for their work. It’s terrible.
It would make some sense if a ‘trainee’ is actually shadowing someone with experience….An internship should also have some mentorship involved…which will be hard if the person is not on site.
