Hello all,
this is now my second post on the boards (the first being my ‘introduction’) but I’ve been having a look in now and again and I’ve seen some nice work being posted lately.
It’s interesting to see that Hoffmania is now a global phenomenon (it was a minor obsession for some of the lads I work with along with Gary Coleman from Different Strokes:)Before talking about the job offer I want to post a link to my website which has just gone live. In part, I constructed it for people like those on the boards here, who might want to have a look at some in game character work. Also, I’m always on the look out for other peoples work so I thought I’d follow suit and publish my own.
http://www.character-artist.com/I work for Climax Action (it’s not a porn company, honestly:) in Portsmouth on the south coast of England. http://www.climaxgroup.com/
I’m the Lead Character Artist on a game there for XBox,PS2 and PSP and we need a character artist asap.
Ideally we’re looking for someone with Maya experience but the artwork is more important than what you used to make it. Let me know what packages you use though.
If you’re interested I’d like you to send me 3 examples of your work, 800×600 character pages in jpeg format showing a posed character front and back and wireframes (see my website for reference). Also send me a link to you’re website if you have one.You can email me at kevin@character-artist.com.
If I don’t reply within 2 days stick a note on this thread.
Speak to you soon,
Kev -
