The dare to be digital competition gives 5 team members the chance to get paid to develop a game in the digital hub in Dublin. Check out http://www.daretobedigital.ie
We have 4 members all multimedia degree students from Dun Laoghaire. We are all experienced java programmers and graphic designers. We have a great game idea and the business plan is covererd. We are making the game in openGL and C. We just want someone who is good at C and has an idea of how to network in C. We think we have a good chance at winnning as some of the team have previously developed game projects. Check out geocities.com/david4482.

Cool game, jaysus shockwave can do some great things.
Need to tell the player that you capture the flag by running over your own flag.
I kept being kicked from my single player game (a message about being behind a firewall – but it continued to work), then ingame I kept dying for no reason for a bit.

Refresh the page, persistance paid off for me. If that fails, do a dance and chant.

Nope, still can’t get in. Says I need an Xtra (Havok Physics Scene) that isn’t there or didn’t initialise at the beginning. When I choose single player it crashes :(
As for Dare, would love to, but I’m not allowed. Once you make it into the dev stage, you’re not allowed enter again.

Sounds like you need download a new version of shockwave. Some computers are just pernickety about shockwave. I checked the site and it is running ok. Pitty you can’t enter omen. We will have to keep looking.
