I know the november one hasn’t even happened yet, but its time to book those flights home for xmas before the prices sky-rocket.
There is a possibility I’ll be around one 17th and 18th December if something is happening around then.
Is there ?? -
09/11/2004 at 11:44 am #15552AnonymousInactive
I would also like to vote for the 17th (Fri) or the 18th (Saturday)
Preferably the 18th as I will be up very early on the 17th to catch the flight home.
17th is not out of the question – I’d just have to have a nap beforehand :p
-
09/11/2004 at 12:08 pm #15553AnonymousInactive
both/either of those dates would get my vote
-
09/11/2004 at 1:09 pm #15556AnonymousInactive
Either suits me (though I do also like Tony’s suggestion of both :) )

Wow…this might actually be the first shindig I manage to get too. Although once I cross the pond I have no idea of arrangements / transport / accomodation, so I can only hope.

I feel I must explain my absence from the site and shindigs, I’m currently travelling in South America with a few friends for a year or so. There’s a picture log in the travel section of my site.
All the best,
Eoin (In chilly south Chile). -

I fear I should not even ask but then again…what can we do to make the Christmas shindig different…..or special..

1. turn up
2. prevent Dave from dancing
3. have Dave buy all of us pints every time he suggests going on to Fibbers
4. see if we can go a whole evening without slagging off the NGage Challenge -

I might have known these would be the suggestions..how about we have a don’t pick on Dave night – at least he’d have a ‘special’ night..
then again…did I mention Kerry..?

17/18 is good – selfishly, I’d rather 17th but don’t mind me.
Something special? Well, it’s Crimbo – how ’bout bringing a bit of festive spirit? Ye each bring a Crimbo card, signed with good wishes and all that, put them all in a bag, and everybody picks one (preferably not theirs  ). Here ya go, Xmas 2004 with extra good wishes. :D

Aphra, dear poor Aphra. Is “Kerry” STILL the only thing you can come up with (despite having returned to your small town/settlement roots)? At least the others are still trying to recycle the pathetic old ideas that they theselves have already become tainted with.
And Doyles is kinda traditional for xmas anyway, right?

Sweat, Ian. He has been pursued by security guards throughout the maternity wing of the paediatric hospital, after having his shirt ripped clean off when it caught on the barbed wire security fence when KITT botched a textbook ejectorseat manouvre over the hospital wall. We see him here posing with the snatched child just before the Feds caught up with him. Allegedly……
Either that or he was sponged off by an adoring German fan

After reading that comprehensive article on how to get to Toner’s I think the only thing more Aphra could do is take you there by the hand!
I’m flying in on the morning of the 18th, so I’ll miss day 1 anyway, and no idea if I’ll be around for day 2 :(

Thats me at the back there. I played Michael Knight’s (evil) twin Garth in season 1, episode 22 and season 2, episode 38 pitting my souped-up truck Goliath against Michael Long < shit I keep calling him that, sorry, Michael Knight > and Kitt along dusty desert highways. Note the beard, its made of pure evil.

So Pete, when are Torc going to buy the rights to develop games based of the Hoff?? I can only assume that’s the next stage in this sick fascination. ;)
I’ll be finished college by then so I should be able to go after I sort a few things out.
How about Ivan, you making the trip?

Hi guys,
Just to let you all know that Toner’s has been booked for Friday 17th December from 7pm. They said it’ll be busy, and that they can hold two tables until then but if anyone can be around earlier, say from 6.30 I’ll be there, my last day of exams so I’ll be going out on the lash with my class that evening so anyone who gets there earlier would be appreciated.
Jamie

Idora, if you’re after that pint I promised you, you know when to find me[/quote:9c494bd338] I’ll be there!!
So Pete, when are Torc going to buy the rights to develop games based of the Hoff?? I can only assume that’s the next stage in this sick fascination.[/quote:9c494bd338] I came to Torc with a mission, Ronny – to eradicate all traces of the Hoff from Torc. Alas, I must report that not only have I failed in this task, but must report that I, too have succumbed to his allure!! Look out for Hoff easter eggs in all future & current Torc projects!
Even the new associate producer we’re hiring has fallen prey to Dave’s charms and now emails pics of him to us!! It’s incredibly insidious….
And Omen I don’t believe you are coming home for Xmas and missing the Shindig?!! What are you up to?!!
-
15/12/2004 at 11:53 am #16618AnonymousInactive

have you met Mal yet?
Aphra.
-
16/12/2004 at 4:28 pm #16695AnonymousInactive
Possibly – can’t say for sure. Though I think I’d remember somebody referring to the fair sex as “wenches” ;)
(last time I used “wench” was defamatory, I must admit, but then she nearly destroyed my MX-5 with her X5, if it hadn’t been for my fine reflexes honed with 20-odd years of racing games experience :D )
-
16/12/2004 at 4:33 pm #16696AnonymousInactive

Oh oh… looks like it could be a long walk to the fair city for me ;)
The wenches to which I previously referred to were of course the stunners of that era, I did a quick search on that internet thingie and found this page of beauties to back up my claim…

I think that should prove my point beyond reasonable doubt.
