      Apparently EA has laid off 20% of staff in Galway. This was via friends.

      There was apparently around 300 people there. I know it was only tech support and testing – but it still is pretty bad.

      This sucks, but realistically, this was on the cards from day one. Star Wars was never going to be the success EA needed it to be.

      Hopefully those affected will land on their feet.

      This may be an awkward time to ask, but does EA find voice talent in Ireland (Galway) for its games, or do they source that talent exclusively in the US? I haven’t been able to find a contact to ask.
