Hi, First time poster, so be gentle.
:oops:I have an online gaming idea that I would like to realise.
How do I go about realising this?
i.e Who can I speak to discuss the idea, and what be involved in bring the project to completion? How do I know I can trust the company, as it is a relatively simple idea, but just one doesn’t sem to have thought of.
There’s definitely a very well established market for the end product.Advice Welcome

usually if the idea is very good you can get the company to sign a ‘non-disclosure agreement’ or NDA before you discuss the idea in detail.
otherwise you might think of going the indie route and getting a team together to develop it yourself and then sell it on…
lots of options and much depends on, as Dave noted, your skills, background and liquidity (i.e. can you get cash together yourself)

I think I didn’t get one of my main points across very well.
There already are thousands of people playing the game already all over the world, but in an offline capacity, so the ‘idea’ as such is not a new one.
I’m looking to bring this game to the online environment.

Is the game owned by a company? If it is then you’ll have to discuss it with them. Convincing them to allow you to be involved in bringing it online will be a pretty hard task. You’ll need to have a proven track record, a lot of experience and good persuasion skills if they’re to work with you. -

You want to take an existing product and IP and create a new version of it?

and be prepared to get knocked back…. online is the publishers buzzword du jour, chances are every game in every publishers back catalog is getting looked at in that capacity.
