Hello all,
This year Griffith College Dublin is continuing to run the Global Game Jam. Big news so far is that this event will now be open both students and Devs.
There are going to be more announcements as time goes on but I cannot say anything yet.
In the past all of our entrants had a great time and we even had a game studio created from one of last years teams.

get me some of those comfy sofas again to sleep on. And i am there for the 3rd year running. My experience of the global games jam. is that its simply the best jam ever.
both times i did it. stayed in the venue for the hole 3 days , and worked with guys I have never met before on making a game.
:D you really learn something about yourself as a games developer when your 47 hours into making something with little or no sleep and bit clock for 1 hour left comes up and starts counting down.
And Griffith College does a great job of hosting them too. But we do need more teams , i think last year there was 4. But the more people the better atmosphere will be.
