I’m sure many of you heard of the "Orange Project", which developed the worlds first fully open source movie ( Elephants Dream ), using the open source / free 3D app, Blender ( http://www.blender.org ) .
The team are working again on the "Peach Project", which will be a lot more comedy based ( see http://peach.blender.org/index.php/about/ )
Anywho, to cut to the chase, one of the animators is toying with "blocking out" a scene, and allowing the community to fill in the finer details of the animation. If enough animators produce great results and show enough interest, the Peach animator will have a better case to argue to the rest of the team to allow this to happen ( distributed detail animating ).
