It was great :)
Who’d have thought they would have put the Scarecrow, Joker, Riddler and Two-Face all in the first film of the new series. Brave move, but it worked.
oh, maybe I should have wrote something about spoilers. oh well.

Hrm, maybe its the excess amount of alcohol in my system after the post-film party that are clouding my judgement, but where are Two-Face and The Riddler mentioned?
Anyway I absolutly LOVED the film! Its a cracking film, I even went through two large buckets of popcorn during it which definitly says alot! The casting is flawless with Bale putting on a magnificent preformance as Batman and even the other (minor) characters putting on a great show.
It was funny actually, the last time I saw Gary Oldman was in Leon the other night on TV, it was definitly a major adjustment seeing him as the soon to be Commissoner, Gordon….
The Batmobile is abit “Xtreme” but for the purposes of the movie it fits in perfectly…i enjoyed the way the film explored how Bruce Wayne went about setting the scene for Batman and all his future gadgets…Batcave and all…
Gah sleepy time, anyway you get the picture…GO…SEE…THIS….FILM….
:D

Ah…now it all makes sense! :D
Well I stand by my comments, no matter what state I was in when I made them, its one of my films of the year and DEFINITLY on par with the original…
Also thanks to peter_b for the How The Batsuit works link, I read it before I left and it definitly clears some stuff up…it also makes you look all intelligent when your friends start asking stupid questions about the suit in the middle of the movie! :D

By inteliigent, you mean a poindexter right :) just kidding
Although i did spend 20 minutes last night explaining to a buddy of mine down the pub how the cape was supposed to work(electrostatic charge etc). She was impressed with my knowledge of nylon fabric. I think she missed the point ;)

I got questions about the cape, how he called the bats and most frequently, his voice…must say that turned out really well, that “distinctive, disembodied and unearthly sound” really added to the film…

I was going to wait for this to be shown on Sky Movies. After enduring all of Ivan’s hype I think I’ll go see it at the cinema. Hope it’s worth it!

great movie, i loved it.
i can even forgive it the massive plot hole:
the microwave device?
how did it not fry every human being who came near it when it was turned on?microwaves work by vibrating water molecules in your food quickly, this creates heat through friction = your food gets cooked.
your microwave doesn’t fry you cause its shielded so the microwaves can’t get out of the microwave.if it was strong enough to vaporise water while in metal pipes, its strong enough to kill everyone in range…
i guess ignorance really is bliss! :P
i saw a quick review of batman begins on mtv (with that muppet presenting – can’t remember his name),
anyway, he was saying that basically its an adult film, which just happens be about a superhero.
i couldn’t agree more. -

Yea there was a few occasions when you could hear a few chidlren in the seats in front jumping, it was quite amusing actually and nice to see from a movie based on such a dark character…

Finally they have NAILED Batman. I love the Burton films, but this is really what Batman should be about. Great job, and they have really set it up for a fantastic sequel………now, who should play The Joker????

Yes. Yes, it is. :D
Apparently Sean Penn is the latest casting rumour for the part of The Joker in the sequel. He would be a fantastic choice in my opinion.

To be honest I don’t think they need to remark the original Batman, its the other abominations that need to be remade… :?

Heh, it was a joke I clearly missed due to said alcohol… :D
I’m really not happy with them remaking the original though, its one of my fave action films ever. For instance, who could play the Joker better than Nicholson? The later films are the ones which should be remade in my opinion, while not atrocious they were abit too tongue in cheek for my liking and strayed to far from the “Dark Knight” universe that made Batman Begins and the original so fanatastic…
