Tadhg Kelly is a designer at Lionhead Software, lives in London, and has been involved in games and game design for the last ten years.
As you can probably guess by his name, Tadhg is Irish, so I thought some of you might be interested to read his article on Gamasutra.

Very nice. Thanks for posting it up.
I wonder if his Irish buddie Paul Mc, from the February Lionhead talk at Trinity, has got him to sign up to gd.ie.
May I ask how one goes about pronoucing ‘Tadhg’??

Hi all,
It’s been ages since I’ve visited the forum; apologies all round. I must try harder. To be honest it’s pillar to post here at Lionhead. Having gotten Fable out the door (phew) we’re focussing on Black and White 2 and The Movies. Jesus; making games is hard work.
Tadhaighd’s :) been making his presence felt (well heard) at Lionhead for some time now but unfortunately I haven’t gotten him involved with Game developers.ie. I will make amends asap.
I sincerely hope you’re all doing well in 2005; speak to you soon,
Paul Mc -

Good to hear from you again Paul and I’m sure Tadhg will have no problem getting stuck into some hot debates here on the boards in 2005, I look forward to it!

Welcome aboard, Tadhg!
According to a friend of mine, I sounded very much like the Queen when asking how to pronounce that. Now if you don’t mind, one has certain obligations to fulfil. :)

Hi Tadhg,
Liked your article on Gamasutra.
I think your point can be easily illistrated by some of the games you find online.
For example Counter Strike, until recently it was running on the HL 1 engine.
Its popularity was because of the great game play. Not fantastic GFX or the use of the most advance hardware.
All the best :D

Thanks a million for the update Paul!
I guess the reason I am really looking forward to this is it reminds of the games you folks at Bullfrog used to develop. Games like Syndicate, Syndicate Wars, Theme Park and Theme Hospital….some of my favourite games ever.
Best of luck with the rest of the development! :D
