      Hey guys,

Once again, another newbie to the forum. My name is Scott, currently residing in Kildare, Ireland, and I just wanted to see if I could get any critique on work I’ve been doing over the last few months.

Feel free to give both good and bad critique, it’s how I learn new and better ways of Level Design anyway.

Also, quick question for anyone out there in the Irish games development. I’ve looked a lot at Level Design jobs for various companies and most of them require some work on a AAA game – What would someone do if they’ve never worked on a retail game before, and would anyone have any advice for getting into the industry?

      Thanks in advance,
Sorry for the long post lol

      – Sythen.

Experienced developers are hard to find so developers must advertise to attract them. Entry level staff are easy to find so developers don’t need to advertise. You will need to contact developers directly (phoned is best) to ask if they have any entry level positions. Then send your resume and portfolio.

If you don’t get a bite you will need to re-apply every three to six months in the hope that your application hits the top of the pile at the time when they have some entry level positions.

Before sending your resume/portfolio make sure to post them here and at http://www.gamedev.net or http://www.igda.org forums for a critique.
