Hi all
well before the students and academics take off on hols and those in the industry probably take some time off too before they have to think about Christmas deadlines we should probably try to get another informal shindig somewhere..
I know Jamie had suggested something in the Xbox centre..
other ideas welcome…
Aphra.

It’s also my friend’s birthday on the 13th! I’ll probably be camping that weekend so it’s not good for me either. Need to stay in touch with nature now and again. ;)
29th and 6th are both fine.

:D 6th and 7th are killer long days for me … but if i have a dram of energy left in me after i finish work on 6th i’ll drop in :D
-
12/06/2007 at 7:54 pm #37209AnonymousInactive
The 6th it is then.
Perhaps, if we’re able to, we could start off at the Xbox Gaming Centre and then move on to the pub afterwards. The pub near Trinity that we were at last time was a good enough place. That is if it’s close to the Xbox Centre.

Has anyone been in touch with Jamie?
If not, we should sort out a quick plan b. Perhaps a good pub near the centre of town.

Thanks aphra and yes, mobile by pm, please.
Given how good a summer we’re having this year, the company might reschedule, or it might be a very short affair anyhow.

Hey folks prob wont make it to Xbox centre (Might catch tail end of it) is Dakota the pub of choice?
I plan on bringing my girlfriend to help make up the girl numbers. She is interested in the educational aspect of games. -

Enjoy the shindig lads. Manage myself to get a few days off in the end during crunch, so gonna head to the lake district to recharge before back to the fire that is finishing SRR next week.

-
07/07/2007 at 2:27 pm #37597AnonymousInactive
It’s a good thing I wasn’t able to go. Apparently the motorway was backed up for hours because of Oxegen.
Any news from the shindig?

09/07/2007 at 9:45 am #37606Aphra KKeymaster
nice to meet a couple of new faces last Friday night, esp David and his girlfriend, and although it was a small one I think we managed to spread sufficient gossip to make it meaningful!
I now have to find out how much of it can be made public…Ian?
Aphra.
-
09/07/2007 at 11:52 am #37608AnonymousInactive
Yeah, Ian!
-
09/07/2007 at 12:55 pm #37609AnonymousInactive

Good luck in Rebellion Ian!!!
It’s a shame to see experienced developers leave, but given the current state of game dev in Ireland, it’s unfortunately understandable also.
