      Hello everyone,

I’m doing my masters in Brunel at the moment. We are currently investigating the mobile phone development sector and I know some of the folks on here are involved in it. I was just wondering if anyone would be willing offer any insights in the following area’s

      Technical Information
Hardware limits/ Difficulty developing across multiple brands of handset
New handset features that may have an impact on development
Major differences in developing for mobiles as opposed to other platforms
Is there a standard development language (Java?) or does it vary

      Market Information
Major challenges in reaching target market
If there is a greater challenge in developing across multiple brands is off set by higher market share?
Main advantages to developing for the mobile phone market

Also anything else thats an important consideration for developers in the industry that anyone is willing to share would be great.

      Thanks
      John Kelly

This article will answer most of your questions. I have to say I agree with most of it , life is hard for a mobile developer!
