I’m going to a party tomorrow, hosted by a pole-dancing teacher. Her entire class are attending.
Life. Is. Good.

And, yes, apparently, she does have a pole installed in her house.

What a girl :)
That profession really has taken off around the midlands eh? Seems every town\city has signs up in shops advertising to learn the art of pole dancing.. Wonder can you just go along and observe. Purely to admire the art of course..

a big hearty congrats to John and the rest of his team. I’ll post more on both the NI and RoI heats of Dare over the weekend – the standard of this year’s applications was way up on last year on both sides of the border, so commiserations to all those who applied and came so close and congrats to the lecturers and tutors in both NWIFHE, Tipp IT BFHE for all the work they put in prepping the teams
Was also great to see more mixed teams this year, both in terms of gender and in having teams composed of students from different colleges
As John mentioned a particularly big shout out goes to Barry Gallagher for all his lobbying efforts

Okay, think I’m all official now, so just to let you all know, I’ll be leaving Core Design ( or whatever its new name will be ) within a month to move on to new things.
If anyone is interested, there’s an opening for a gameplay programmer now, its a good bunch of people heading for interesting times uner new ownership. -

Indeedy, major congrats to you and your team John! The game idea sounds great and I’m really looking forward to hearing more about it soon!
Skyclad, well to be honest most of Dublin seem to have mastered the art of staying away from us at this stage so I’m sure John was no exception. :D
Also Tony, the guy from the Digital Hub mentioned a few interesting developments during the interview yesterday so I’ll also be interested in hearing about them for the competition next year.
Oh and best of luck with the move Damien. Might you be moving back to Ireland too? Might wana renew that Redbrick account of yours if you move back over.

Hmm, the sun only shines in the south of England. So he must be moving further on down towards the coast. There’s not many companies in the south. I have a feeling as to who it could be…(Or I could be completely wrong)
