I was unsure about putting this link at the bottom of the other thread I started in this section using the name lucky B, if anyone has some thumb twiddling time to spare and wants to give the questions a once over here is the link.
I’ve not got time to test it out just now so I hope I didn’t make any dumb mistakes that mean the site won’t run properly.
Regards, Lucky B.

Can I just say that I don’t think you created the most user-friendly site. Having to choose a forum and then a thread to find out what the question actually was was getting really annoying by the time I got to question 4 I’m afraid…

yeah i agree.
a series of text areas, radio buttons etc. and a post command might have been more user friendly :)

I was aiming to get peoples ideas as to what kind of questions might be relevant at the moment and how to improve the existing ones to be more objective more than I was expecting to get peoples answers now (although that’s cool too). I think I can make it more user friendly quickly by putting all the questions numbered as they appear and on one thread. That should be a good enough bodge job for now I think.

Yup, main problem was that I didn’t comment on any of them because all the loading of new pages was just annoying me too much, so I only actually read 3 or 4 questions :(

Yeah ok, that’s been sorted out to some degree. The questions are now much easier to view and accessible by two main sections. Maybe I’ll just post them here. (give a little time for initiative to kick in)
At the moment I’m more interested in testing if I can get more ideas on how to make things more relevant and checking what really obvious things haven’t occurred to me. Answering the questions is of secondary importance at the moment, unless of course you instinctively know it would be useful somehow.
Don’t forget that this is just the building stage, there is no rush at the moment, it’s just a rough attempt this year and the questionnaire proper will begin early next year. So hopefully lessons will be learned, the process improved and then searched for any reasonable conclusions. The basic idea can be summed up in the first line of the primary aims of the survey site.
“The main objective of the survey is to try identify and investigate some of the possible reasons why more people don’t enjoy playing games.”

I think you should organise them into the relevant categories; all, gamer, non-gamer. As it is they are all intermingled and you have to look at them all to see whats relevant to you.
How about having all of the ALL questions at the start, then gamer and then non-gamer. At the end of all have a note saying non-gamers, skip to question X. -

The format will be organised in priority to some degree for the test and further for the real thing. At the moment believe it or not I’ve not got much time to spare and sometimes simple things like that are not always so simple, at least not for me. (lol) Also the way they’re all mixed up now could help to show quickly that suggestions can be within a wide area.
As I’ve already mentioned, there’s no real rush and any thoughts people have on the matter may surface over a course of time. I’ll leave the other thread to die and when this one is nearly ready to do the same, I’ll replace this thread with a more efficient start. That’s of course if leaving this matter hang isn’t likely to cause much distraction here.
