I’m guessing Powwow is us, but it is "Studio POWWOW". If you need any info about us, just ask and I’ll see what I can do.

Nice work.
Couple of things jumped out at me.
EA’s Galway site isn’t under the Bioware label anymore, I think it’s referred to as EA Ireland or EA Galway now.
I don’t believe G4X Online is active anymore, I think the company folded. Some of the members may have gone on to form n00bgaming . They don’t really have any relation to game developers though.

Thanks for the info, the report covers service providers, and other games related businesses, but if you have a contact there, let me know.
Cheers

Okey dokey.
I’m not too familiar with the chaps there, but you can probably get in touch with them via n00bgaming[dot]com (I can’t post the link due to a 3 post minimum for URLs).

Yes I think we need to think about how to do this and try and make the connections.
We are by the way working on updating the forum and other software here on gd.ie and I would be happy to hear about other activities maybe we could do to connect up people – maybe some events in the Autumn in addition to dubLudo and Gamecraft and State of Play?

156 now!
Yeah, I’ve gotten about ten messages now with updates, thanks all!
Anyone know what the craic is in cork? And can someone confirm Galway is covered too?
I want to speak to everyone on this list, whether through events, post survey, email survey or Skype call to go through a survey bigger than before.
I’ve had contributions from lots of people, but if you’d like to have a question considered to be asked in the survey, please add it here, or pm/tweet it to me.
Cut off date is June 14th.
Cheers
Jamie

Hi there,
Raptor Games has become The Mighty Kraken so it can be dropped from the list. Excellent work compiling that data though!

We should probably separate out retail (Gamestop, Xtravision) from dev, publishing, middleware and services like localisation and support.
Also we have listed a lot of the courses here on gd.ie but it is important to indicate that they are at different levels – level 5 up to level 8 – or in other words from certificates up to degrees and beyond. There are very different requirements and expectations between courses.
Also some are ITs, some universities and some private colleges. Why does this matter? Well different levels of fees and different amounts of peer and educational scrutiny.

Hi Aphra,
I’ll be splitting them all out later along the lines I did before, and yeah any help/ideas on the education side are great.
Up to 159 now, are there any more or are we maxing out?

Great list you’ve got there, you even included my company, Rongella, despite me not having started any strong marketing push for the new game, Algebalance.
(In unrelated news, I’ve registered a new name on the board, I just feel that future talk on this board should be by my real name)
