Possible new funding route for games companies

I saw this on @barryoneill’s twitter feed and I thought you might be interested. I have been on the legal side of quite a few s481 deals for films in the past, and Irish production companies have found this funding mechanism very useful.

I would be interested in hearing whether the Irish games industry is lobbying for this initiative to be introduced. Is there a centralised lobby group for the industry? If so, what is it?

If this comes in it would be interesting to hear the first hand experience of companies that decide to access this type of funding.
