If that happens I will officially, yes, officially, eat. my. hat.
Ridley Scott to direct?? More like Paul. W.S Anderson….. ;)
Consider us totally tickled if the rumours are true and Scott signs up to direct it. Gadzooks! What could be better?[/quote:51599e89f8]
What could be better? James Cameron to direct…….now, how sweet would that be. ;)

Neither, nor ;) – different directing styles for different films altogether. Alien was horror(-ish)/suspense, Aliens was action/suspense.
Alien is my fave ever (with SW Ep 4), but I’ll consider Aliens a very close second, and only because it came after, so it lacks the novelty element over the first…

Anderson isn’t that bad. Sure the first Resi wasn’t the greatest movie ever, but in my opinion it was more about setting up the story for the sequel. I say this as Resident Evil 2 is so much better than the first.
I really like the way they introduced Nemesis. He came across as very mysterious and powerful. Unfortunately they exposed him way too much. They should have kept him in the shade.

Not enough reviews to generate a reviews score…His record speaks for itself. But if you enjoy them, thats cool! To each his own….. ;)
(For anyone that doesn’t know, Rotten Tomatoes is a website that gathers reviews for films from all over the net and from newspapers etc….)I prefer Aliens to Alien(only just), I love the badass marines element and Cameron brought so much atmosphere and technical mastery to the film. That being said, Steph, you are completely correct, they are both totally differant films.
I also really liked Alien 3, I loved the very dark, gritty feel to it. Again, thats Finchers “style”. :) -

Paul Anserson is the movie industry version of EA, always spewing out sequels and tried and tested formula’s, If at all considered some very interesting ideas could be incorporated into Halo the movie and or if indeed he uses his brain at all he will refer to fan mythology as a resourse for want people want to see. God damn, I could go to the 7th Column(Halo fan site) and gather enough material to make a startling film. Regardless I can even see it now, A poor man’s Universal Soldier!, Oh dear!.

Good point Dave, but notice how I said not THAT bad. Certainly not the greatest director ever. Though I do enjoy some of his movies. They take a lot of stick but I stand by my opinion. As you said, each to his own. :)
