i must eventually get to one of these all-mighty “shin-digs”, but do the admins and moderators handle the financial details for the bar? :P finger pointed at you ronny ” rich-boy” southwood :D

It would be great to get to one again. I keep saying that I will, but something always gets in the way. Be it a place to stay, college assignments, paying to get down to Dublin, etc. I hope to be able to sort something out! Got any dates in mind, Dave?

Feck off! Water is free to matter how much you have of it! You’ll have to cough up the money yourself, but I’m sure you’ll be able to manage that once you’re developing triple A titles in Derry. ;) -

enough of the feck off! might consider going to this, with finances permitting and similar problems as ronny has. will good to meet ya again mr southwood, and meet most of the gd.ie people.

-
20/10/2005 at 11:49 am #26472AnonymousInactive
Look there is only one PROPER O’Neills
I’ll make the next one in December (I ass-ume)
-
20/10/2005 at 12:49 pm #26473AnonymousInactive
There are two O’Neills.
The one that is actually a great pub.
And the one that is the tourists pub which constantly stinks of food.
-
20/10/2005 at 2:32 pm #26479Aphra KKeymaster
Mahaffys is easier, never any confusion as to which one!!
food only on request…
Aphra.
-
20/10/2005 at 2:47 pm #26482AnonymousInactive
How can there be confusion when you say O’Neill’s on Pearse Street ??? :)
-
20/10/2005 at 2:53 pm #26484AnonymousInactive
Dont think Ivan quite got his head (or arms) around that one :)
-
20/10/2005 at 3:10 pm #26485AnonymousInactive
Hey check the post about the last shindig…
Max asks which O’Neills and no-one answers
http://www.gamedevelopers.ie/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1792&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=40
Thats my excuse and I’m sticking to it
-
20/10/2005 at 3:17 pm #26486AnonymousInactive
Or look at the post that actually made the O’Neill’s suggestion that month…
how about O’Neills on Pearse Street and then we can move onto more dancing venue later…?
Aphra.[/quote:f03dd447a1]
:)
-
20/10/2005 at 3:21 pm #26488AnonymousInactive
OWNED!!!
(I have always wanted to use that word)
-
20/10/2005 at 3:28 pm #26489AnonymousInactive
But that post was BEFORE Max’s question…so my point is still valid.
(argument over, I am clearly correct as usual!)
*cough*
-
20/10/2005 at 3:52 pm #26490AnonymousInactive
No, no-one replied to max’s question because it was redundant as it was already explained. Plus, Max turned up to the correct location, so it was proven that no answer was required.
check mate.
ps. you’ll not win this one, I have time on my hands to out argue you :)
-
20/10/2005 at 4:16 pm #26492AnonymousInactive
Lads lads, you don’t have to fight. There’s plenty of Max for everybody.

For people who havent attended a shindig before, remember :
1. You must only wear red clothing
2. You have to have a post-it stuck on your forehead upon which you write your forum name -

Kim Marlis, a friend of mine from LA will be tagging along to this Shindig.
Kim is an Assoc. Producer with Planet Moon Studios in San Fran, and was previously with Pandemic and Activision. Kim was the AP on Full Spectrum Warrior

Or her?

Or her indeed, as I am neither sexist, nor often provided with time aplenty to exercise my Google skills (Tony: better make that an Arctic-Grade fur coat then!)

Many thanks for the map, hope you didnt waste too much time getting it :) I used to live in mahaffy’s (TCD head), but you werent to know that (forums should come with a sarcasm indicator).
J. P. MAHAFFY, berkeley Professor of Philosophy and Junior Dean 1871-1872.
His proud legacy lives on as CS undergrads get kicked out of the SU every evening at six and head across the road to get pissed in Mahaffy’s…maybe moving on the Doyles for the late bar if they’ve any money. Monday Tuesday…etc. Happy days. -

I can’t hardly be punished for failing to turn up time & again, due to circumstances entirely out of my control  … ’tis been a hard year on all fronts.
All that said, if you make it by -say- around the 15th of Dec, that should be time aplenty to grow the beard to Santa-esque proportions, tho’ :D
But don’t go expecting oranges in your stockings either… ‘be a piece of coal for each of ye mischievous lot

If anyone is around Talbot St. 6-10, stick your head in so I know who to look for in Mahaffys, if not look out for the person lookin for someone at about 10.20ish….
