So, anyone interested in buying the new SF game?,(well when I say new I mean what Capcom seems to thinks is the norm these days what with MGS and RE already being rehased!)well I think i will regardless of having well over 10 SF games alreday and having recently got Turbo revival on the GBA. It is after all the penultimate edition, right?. Classic character design, classic game play, or is it…. classic HYPE?, yes the main reason for this thread is to discuss the (dis)illusion surrounding hyped games, honestly i’m not buying the new SF game because lets be honest we’ve seen it all before, haven’t we. opinions anyone?

ah yes but isnt it always the same? how many times do dvd’s of the same movie come out? x men, xmen 2 disc set, x men collectors edition, x men 1.5, x men 10 year edition. in the game’s market its just another way of creating some income for the publisher and the developer without having to worry about the title failing and facing financial losses. and as for hype, well it is justified in some cases; (mario 64) and in others it is not (enter the matrix)

REHASHING makes the entertainment industry go round.

I bought that Alien Legacy Box set (20\25 year celebration thingy), then they release the Quadrology (or some crap like that) again. My version is still dearer though.

I guess they fell if they have a winning product the public will never tire of it. Having said that, this box set is not as good as the uber one from Japan….so its a waste again.
