Initially, I had some serious misgivings about the decision to chose Heath Ledger but the more I see and hear of him the more I think he may actually be able to pull it off. Roll on Summer 2008 anyway. :)

I always reckoned he would have made a better adult Anakin Skywalker, even though he started out his career in dumb rom-coms.
Nice pics. A little more than I would have liked to have seen perhaps, but some are interesting, I would like to know what is going on in some of those shots.
EDIT: And is that Killian Murphy/Scarecrow in the pic seven from the top??

wow yeah it really does look like cillian murphy, their is meant to be an appearance from scarecrow in this film is some form.
As well as Harvey Dent, the actor playing him is the lead guy from "thank you for smoking"
Perfect casting so far

there must have been previews for this in the Savoy tonight in Dublin… I passed a load of people in queues and some fairly hefty posters on the way into town this evening .

Great movie and a great performance by The Joker. I really liked how they developed the relationship between Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent, though they could have made it even better. I won’t get into that as it would obviously spoil it for people.
Then again, if you didn’t have enough respect for The Ledge by seeing it on opening night, then don’t bother going to see it at all. :P

Great film, really close to the comics that I’ve been reading for years which is awesome. Ends ok, really interested to see where the go from here.
Heath is brilliant in it

I felt it was far weaker than Begins, which was excellent. Two face was a huge dissapointment. And I thought they were only setting him up for the third film. I smell D.C. intervention too…it wasn’t nearly as dark as Begins. Also David S. Goyer didn’t co-write the screenplay with Nolan this time, Nolans brother did instead. And I think that was a huge part of the problem. It was a messy movie. Very dissapointed.

Liked it. Didn’t clap at end though, some did.
Felt they skimped on art direction for gotham city. The city is practically a character itself and no attention was given to its look, they might as well have said it was NewYork. Also didn’t like bat pod for some reason, probably because there was no way you could turn with those tyres.

Don’t go and say that! Been sitting at home watching, playing and reading everything to keep myself busy whilst getting over the damned pox but still dying to see this movie!

I personally think that Tim Burton nailed Gotham City in his first movie (and the Batmobile, and the Batwing etc. etc.) I’m tempted to post about the art direction of Gotham in Begins (the Narrows in particular stood out and was meticulously researched and stylised) but I’ll wait til I’ve seen the new movie.
