      Walk of Game is the first-of-its-kind landmark honoring the icons and pioneers of the videogame industry.

      Every year, gamers worldwide select six inductees to receive a permanent star on the Walk of Game. Inductees to date are: Nolan Bushnell, Shigeru Miyamoto, Halo, Link (The Legend of Zelda), Mario, and Sonic The Hedgehog.

      Each October, http://www.WalkOfGame.com accepts votes in the categories of Game/Character and Lifetime Achievement. The top four Games/Characters and the top two lifetime achievers are inducted into Walk Of Game and have a 24″x 24″, customized, stainless steel star installed on the floors of Metreon.

      The list of nominees is compiled from a survey of industry members, and technology, entertainment, and gaming media. SCA Interactive, a leader in online promotions, powers the Walk of Game voting interface.

      The physical Walk of Game landmark is located inside Metreon, a 350,000 square-foot entertainment complex at Fourth and Mission Streets in the heart of downtown San Francisco.       Great idea, but…..HALO?

      C’mon…..surely there are better candidates from the history of games that should come before HALO for a spot on the “Walk of Game”.

      What about Pac-Man?

      I agree about Halo….what about “guy from GTA3” , oh wait they need some american icons….

      i’m i the only one who likes Halo and the master chief? i think that they should be on the Walk, but it a bit soon considering there is only 6 on it so far….

      who would you have on it…..Treasure, Peter Molyneux, Yuji Naka (sonic team)?

      There is no denying that Halo/Master Chief is a famous game character. But having him/it as one of the first inductees is a joke, considering there are far more famous and influential people/games/characters that have graced the industry over its life.

      Hideo Kojima
      Nobuo Uematsu
      Yuji Horii

      And so many more…..putting Halo/Master Chief in is a joke when you look at the various people who have given so much more over the years.
      Surely even Solid Snake should be in before Halo/Master Chief?
