-
15/06/2004 at 12:41 pm #12744AnonymousInactive
That would be a saturday, and a shindig further down the line?
Dave

1. show up.
2. have a few drinks.
3. talk games.
4. get a little drunker, and make jokes about Dave’s dancing skills, what a funny place Muff is to live, how old man Tony Kelly is faring or how funny Ian Hannigan is.
5. convince aphra to skip her hockey match the next day and go out clubbing.
6. go out to an overly expensive club and regurgitate how lucky the northsiders were to get in.
7. Stumble home.Dave

Thats the most realistic synopsis of ANYTHING I’ve ever heard!

Yes, getting Aphra to part ways with her orange juice can be a challenge sometimes.

Edit: Just realised I get paid on July 25th…..sweet!

Hmm.. isn’t the Torc open day on the 25th in the Digital Hub?
Looking forward to my last shindig before I’m off to France for the holidays. To celebrate I wore my friend’s France football shirt today… for some reason a lot of people kept giving me dirty looks. :p
Well, today was the last day of college and I have reason to believe I did very well today through the gruelling gauntlet of maths and history.
Bring on the summer!

isn’t the Torc open day on the 25th in the Digital Hub?[/quote:04dc557400] yeah, it is
-
15/06/2004 at 2:44 pm #12754AnonymousInactive
yeah, it is [/quote:83eef5eb87]
Yeah, so therefore might it not be a better idea to have the shindig on the week after to avoid a conflict?Just a thought. :)
-
15/06/2004 at 2:52 pm #12756AnonymousInactive
Maybe not, there’ll be quite a delegation of Torcettes down from Donegal in town for that day….
-
15/06/2004 at 2:54 pm #12757AnonymousInactive
Pete is right, wouldn’t it be better to have it on that day so that the people from Torc can come along?
-
15/06/2004 at 2:55 pm #12758AnonymousInactive
That’s true, Pete. I’m sure people could come along after the open day comes to a close. With the Muff crew down it would make for a better turnout.
25th official then?
-
15/06/2004 at 3:00 pm #12761AnonymousInactive
The Muff Crew………
-
15/06/2004 at 3:24 pm #12763AnonymousInactive
I’ll be over when GameCon 4 is on…doubt I’ll make it out (on PC…everyone engrossed in fragging).
However, does anyone want to meet up for ‘a pint’ also know as ‘getting pissed’?
Week around August 12th

I guess Metallica are all very cute if you’re into pop music. :p Right now my body is killing me after witnessing Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, God Forbid and Shadows Fall blow up Ireland last night. Nearly did actually! Bloody amp blew up half way through the show.I should be able to make it to the shindig, see y’all there. :)

Hey ronny you should have said you were off to the gig, I was there aswell!, the only thing left now is for In Flames to play here, did you see SoilWork and Chimera earlier this year ronny?… best gig ever, the haunted!
-
20/06/2004 at 8:37 pm #12857AnonymousInactive
I was at the Belfast gig, I’m guessing you were at the Dublin one. Man, all the bands rocked the bar throughout. I got three guitar picks from three different bands! I guess that’s a benefit of being in the front row. :D Also got Killswitch’s autographs.
Who needs Jesse?? ;)

you know what, I head off to a couple of weddings and there is great organising going on in my absence…( I’ll say nothing about the references to orange juice except Jamie that last time you were at a shindig it definitely wasn’t orange juice I was drinking…more uisce beatha..!)
anyway..,have we decided Sat this week then..? Do you want to return to Toners…?
Aphra.

Jamie
-
24/06/2004 at 1:51 pm #12940Aphra KKeymaster
Well I popped into Toners on the way home last night and it seems there is a birthday party booked into downstairs but the manager reckons we’ll be able to get tables upstairs in the pub so let’s try that anyway. He said he’d look after us with cocktail sausages…did someone mention sausages….??!! jes, you can’t get away from them…
so anyway, see you all UPSTAIRS in Toners on Baggott St. from about 7.30pm on SAT night..
Aphra.

27/06/2004 at 9:22 am #12981AnonymousInactive
I for one didn’t have fun cause I was stuck at home with a bloody bug that’s turned into a full on flu.
Aw well, off to Torc Interactive tomorrow for the week so it damn well get better before then, at least.
-
27/06/2004 at 4:40 pm #12983Aphra KKeymaster
well it was a little subdued given that the Torc event the night before had become a bit of an epic…having said that the usual die hards were there plus everyone Pete has ever known over his life..oh and there is a very interesting pic of Pete from years back which might just surface somewhere on this site..
sorry you couldn’t make it Ronny and Damian..
The next shindig might coinside with Ivan making it over in August and/or GaleCon and someone mentioned we should do an internet games night….let’s see what the feeling is….
Aphra.
-
28/06/2004 at 9:21 am #12984AnonymousInactive
I was at a friends work leaving party on Friday night……it was bedlam, and needless to say the only place I was going on Saturday night was to bed…..to clear my sore head!
-
28/06/2004 at 10:31 am #12988AnonymousInactive
