Do you dream C#? Do you work with Unity? Can you demonstrate technical brilliance? Then you may just be the person we need to join our enthusiastic team of Developers and Digital Creatives. We are Sevengate Publishing Ltd, a young digital publishing company based in Derry~Londonderry, and we are currently seeking to recruit a full time programmer specialising in Unity.
Job Responsibilities:
Working to our Creative Director, you will:
Implement digital book functionality
Produce related technical documentation
Optimisation for Mobile Devices
Create smooth, interactive and bug-free Interactive ebooks and Magazines
Develop ebooks from inception to completion
Perform coding changes when necessary in the review of the prototype
Extract technical specifications from design documentation and user requestsRelevant Experience:
A Relevant Degree in Computer Science, preferably in Game Development or have the ability to demonstrate equivalent level qualification
At least 1 years experience with Unity games engine and 2 years relevant experience with C#
Evidence of having developed 2D and 3D projects for iOS and Android Mobile/ Tablets
Evidence of producing clean and maintainable code
Object-orientated programming skills
Ability to produce Technical Documentation
Maths/ Algebra skills in a gaming context
Self Motivated Self Starter
Excellent Communication Skills and Critical Thinking
Ability to work well in a teamDesirable:
Knowledge of Java , Python and C++
Knowledge of other game engines and frameworks.
Knowledge of Scrum methodology
Good working knowledge of Windows and OSX
Ability and willingness to work with customers to track down bugs and problems
Create realistic time estimates and work within time constraints

It will be interactive ebooks mixed with plenty of games mechanics with sure movement into that realm. Think of books you can play. And more than than one project Aphra – it’s a full time position.

Honestly their site looks lovely – we may be aiming at some different niches but better for everyone if there are more of us about. More investment for all :)
