Emulating Michael & family to an extent, we are also emigrating in the very near future and leaving Dublin and Ireland altogether.
A decision long in the making, which I only finalised a couple of months ago or so, and which -all things said pondered- was pretty difficult to reach. A decision 100% motivated by "quality of life", I should add.
I’ll be sorry to have less involvement with GD.ie, although of course I intend to keep tabs from afar as much as I can… and for the little story -and a big hint as to my new whereabouts- I’ll be rekindling the links with Game Republic, that I had to sever 4 years ago ;)
To all, much thanks for the involvement, the fraternity, and keeping GD.ie the hive of all things happenings on the Irish ‘professional’ VG scene :)

Thanks for your good wishes. And yes, I do intend to keep in touch …the very idea behind the move, being that I will have more free time to do so ;)

Can’t argue with that. :)
Will be doing the same too probably. Can’t wait to live Ireland forever.

Crossing the Irish sea for starters. Yeah, a lot of people complain that England is just as bad but at least it has a goddamn games industry :)

What do you mean just as bad? Dude difference between Ireland and England isnt a hell of a lot. Reckon Ireland is slightly higher cost of living, but again depends what your doing and into.
As regards industries, if you were in any other industry it would probably be identical. You dont know how go you got it! :)
