Who the fuck do Polyphony Digital think they are, they’re going to destroy their IP if they carry on like this.

i think this would be a case of sony pushing this idea and not Polyphony Digital.

Sony havent commented on this yet.. But i suspect there a bit of both of them involved. At the end of the day polyphony could take their ip to 360 if they wanted too. So they must want to cash in also.

Isn’t Polyphony wholly owned by Sony? I’d imagine Polyphony had little say in the matter, not that they’d object anyway. They went beyond milking the product a long time ago…

True enough they are a Sony company (after a bit of googling later). Its good for other racing games\companies, if Sony want to destroy their ip. Wayhey!
Remember folks “Sega Rally Revo” for a true next gen experience, March 30th 2007, wherever good games are sold! :P

[pimp]The standout of the evening was easily MotorStorm, one of the most visually stunning games ever seen on a home console. A high-tech off-road racer at heart, Motorstorm’s sparkling graphical detail practically jumped off the screen: motorbikes exploded in flaming balls of debris, sending their riders careening off nearby rock formations like rag dolls. Despite the lavish presentation, the game ran at a brisk pace, if not quite up to Ridge Racer 7’s lighting-quick standard of 60 frames per second.

The editor of 1up gave us ‘Game of Show’ too:
“The reason is simple: it’s the best looking game in action I’ve ever seen running on a home console. Watching it on the screen feels like you’re right there, in a helicopter or something chasing behind this off-road race. Everything moves the way it should; there’s no weird seams or particle effects disconnected from their source; the lighting (and shadowing) looks natural. It creates a completely engrossing effect.”[/pimp]

Another reason we’re having to wait a bit longer for all of this is simply how complicated the development process is, he said. “Creating a car for GT4 took approximately one month. This time, it takes half a year. The amount of data for each car is approximately 20 times that of GT4.”[/quote:66d0362576]
run that by me again…
