Hey Dude,
Paddy here from Open Emotion Studios Ltd. You can rest assured that everyone here at Open Emotion will pick up a copy (At least those of us lucky enough to be the ones with iPhone’s :P) and throw up links etc. on our facebook, blog, twitter and so on. Hope you guys will have a major success with this and we’re really looking forward to playing it. If yourself and Mr. Sims are free Saturday, we’d love to chill out, have a coffee and shoot the shit.
All the best luck with it dudes!!!!

Definitely announce on – TigSource; I’m gonna fire it onto a professional forum for you – good for the career/business and all that. Worth trying to send it to indie sites – http://www.indiegames.com/blog/, and the TigSource front page. But to be honest, I’m sure you know better than me where to try sell it to the audience you are going for :)

Must be running on fumes today, wrote a reply but never hit submit!
Thanks a million Aphra and Anthony.
Thanks a million also John for throwing it up on the forum for us. I just registered with TIGSource and Introduced myself and posted to the announcements page so hopefully we’ll get some feedback. Thanks for the tip on that site, I’m getting a lot of good tips from everywhere I post and other places to post. Gotta hit the App sites now with some promo-codes and a press-release!Keep watching the skis!

The game is out and on sale now! Here’s a link: http://itunes.apple.com/ie/app/wordsnap-contraption/id412453514?mt=8
Thanks for all the support and for all the downloads. We got to number two in Word games in Ireland earlier which was fantastic.
Sign up to Game Center if you get the app and we can all battle it out on the leader boards.

Really enjoyed playing the game so far, but I’m ashamed of how few words I know over four letters!!! :P

Anthony, here’s my tip, add suffixes to your words and you’ll be laughing. -s, -ed, -ing, etc.

Went to download on an iPhone 3G, got this…
"This App Is Incompatible With This iPhone
P2.requiredCapabilities.thisAppRequiresOK"
Possibly related to the Game Center, if it’s not optional?
The game looks cool – I’ll def spread the word to > 3G iPhone users.

Hey Mal. Yeah it’s a Game Center thing. The game requires firmware 4.1 (which was the first firmware release to include Game Center) so you’ll need to upgrade if you want to play.
Thanks for spreading the word, much appreciated.

I have 4.2.1 installed here, afaik Apple didn’t release Game Center for 3G and older devices.
If it didn’t take a lot of work to make the Game Center optional as an update ( detect for older devices, and take a different code path ), it might open up a larger audience for your app as the older hardware should be able to run it OK.

Sorry, didn’t pick up on the 3G part. Good point, I must say it to Dave alright can we add that feature alright to detect older devices. We’re working on updates at the moment.
Thanks,
Baz

Not at all Paddy! :D
Might not be an amazing demo or have a link to the game but it’s definitely helping get a few sales. And we’ve a quote now for the iTunes store page.
