Work Experience/Placement – As part of 3rd year college

I’m currently a 2nd year student of Entertainment Systems (Video Games Development stream) at WIT. We are scheduled to go on work placement next year for 6 – 12 months but have been told that it is unlikely that they will find us places but we can go and attempt to find them ourselves if we can. So here I am.

If anyone could recommend companies that actively take on students for 6 – 12 month work placement/internships it would be great.

Currently Studying:
Game Development – C
Console Development, for PSP (using official dev kits) – C++
Audio Visual Development – Flash
3D Graphics Applications – 3DS Max
Internetworking
Web Application Development

Past classes include Java (applications), physics, maths.

Quite happy to travel.
