I hate cloth simulators…..they just end up frustrating me for not working like I want ’em too, but I gotta say ClothFX is probably the best of the bunch. Used to be called Stitch I think………

SimCloth is pretty cool, and very easy to use and its FREE. You can get it from either http://www.chaosgroup.com or http://www.chaoticdimension.com, can’t remember which. Does simple rigid body collisions too. ClothReyes was a really excellent one, they made it free for 3DSmax r3 and it was as simple or as complex as you needed it to be. Anyway, theres a few vids on ClothFX here:

Very cool. When I heard ClothFX would be free to Max users I was hoping HairFX would follow. Then sadly it dawned upon me that they’re not by the same company!! :(

Ugh…..hair, probably the second most frustrating thing to do after cloth…..actually, come to think of it, its probably worse….

Must download SimCloth and give it a bash…..
