As part of my research, im looking into recreating a formula 1 lap in a computer game. It shouldn’t be too hard to make a scale model of a terack if you have a decent map to work from August 3, 2005 at 8:39 am #23585 AnonymousInactive I did a quick search on TurboSquid and found this… http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/173016 I exported it as is, into our training toolkit app, you can click below to drive around it online ( using Shockwave ) to get a better view of it, before you download it yourself. http://www.candointeractive.com/gamedesign/car/daytona Regards… Mal August 3, 2005 at 8:45 am #23586 AnonymousInactive thanks a million for that! never knew about that turbosquid site. ill give it a go and see what happens. By the way, i like your shockwave app – very very impressive! :D Thanks again, Damien August 3, 2005 at 9:36 am #23590 AnonymousInactive Hi Damien, Feel free to download it yourself from… http://www.candointeractive.com/gamedesign/car You can use it completely for free, for your personal website usage. The file above contains instructions, a sample level etc. If you have downloaded the track, it might be an interesting project to also get a model of a racing car, and replace the van with it ( look for carSkin in the documentation ).
