Hey,
I’m trying to find some custom fonts online but i either find sites with an infuriating number of pop-ups and almost never ending “Click here for your font” links or fonts that i have to pay for.
paying for stuff is just _not_ on! :P
does anybody have a good site for fonts?
cheers!

yup, dafont is dabomb.
There used to be quite a number of such free fonts websites, but for some reason a lot seem to have disappeared :(
I like dafont cos it has useful categories. That really helps find what you want!
elkfont used to be great but like many others it vanished… -

well it does, cos they are loaded in memory, but you have to appreciate that that was true a few years ago when you machine was a Pentium…
nowadays with a big fat double core or what have you.Cos if you want to go that way, you shouldn’t have big fat JPEGs for your background picture. Now that’s a few megs of memory gone for nothing.
It’s all relative

it’s good to have some kind of font manager (like ‘font thing’ – thats free and kind of good) – the ‘big-fat-double-core-machine’ won’t help if u have 6000 fonts in the system – its just hard to navigate through them…
ahh yee – dafont rulezz anyway :)
