      Autodesk, the Industry leaders in High end Visual effects, compositing, and next generation animation software, in conjunction with VFX.ie, the effects arm of Eurotek Ireland, announced the annual winter seminar taking place in Dublin on the 27th of October 2010.

      The Autodesk seminars will take place in two rooms at The Morgan Hotel, Temple Bar Dublin 2.

      In Room 1 Autodesk will include demonstrations of new versions of each product Including

      Autodesk 3d s Max 2011, Autodesk Maya 2011, Autodesk Softimage 2011, Autodesk Mudbox sculpting software, and will show how they work together out of the box, and discuss future technology possibilities.

      The event includes Autodesk Application experts demonstrating tips and tricks of each software and its integration with Composite,
      the compositing application that now ships with 3d s max and Maya. Also on show will be Motion builder and CAT software.

      In Room 2 Autodesk will showcase the first release of Autodesk advanced applications on the Mac platform. Autodesk Smoke on the Mac is an advanced creative editorial ,grading and finishing system designed for editors who require more creative freedom to finish on line projects.
      Smoke on the Mac includes a 3D Camera and key is the ability for Smoke to handle compressed formats, like Apple ProRes Avid DNxHD, DVCPRO HD, AVC-Intra and image sequence files, such as 3DS and Filmbox files from 3DS Max and Maya. Plus native support for P2, XDCAM and RED files

      The seminars are free and Open to all in the Industry
