      Richard Baneham is an Irish animator trained in Ballyfermot Art College.

      Aye I heard of this guy before on creativeireland.ie, he has quite a track record, surprised there isnt more coverage of him in the newspapers

      I believe he is interviewed during the making of LOTR. In the extended edition. He has some CV. Looks good.

      He’s also a bloody nice bloke, he spoke at an Autodesk yoke in Dublin a few years back. A sound fella, hung around the bar afterwards answering questions and all.

      Yep he’s been around years. He’s the ginger fella with the ballier accent that features alot during the Two Towers making of’s if I’m not mistaken.

      BAFTA win:
      Richard Baneham, from Tallaght in Dublin, and three of his colleagues, Joe Letteri, Stephen Rosenbaum and Andrew R Jones, won the Special Visual Effects award for ‘Avatar’.

      Had a talk from him while studying animation a few hears ago.
      Remember him saying he was passing up King Kong for the The Chronicles of Narnia. Very interesting guy.

      He was on Larry king with Cameron recently. The clip is on youtube me thinks.
