Anyone try out the demo yet? Multiplayer is fantastic, I haven’t had so much craic since the first time I played COD online. The only downside is a dodgy multiplayer menu, keeps freezing my laptop when I try to sort by ping. Looks great and the vehicles are a great laugh. If you haven’t tried go do it now!!

I downloaded from download.com at about 50kb, wasn’t the fastest download I could find, gamespot could only manage 10 and I wasn’t going to wait 55 minutes to download off fileplanet.

Under the name kBound if anyone is interested…

I’d pay for a fileplanet subscription only for I hardly ever download demos or mods. Should arrange a firendly some night with the people from the board.

Aye Fileshack is the one for me. I heard its ‘feels more solid’ – which is great cause the on FPS bits of the originals (even vietnam) just felt wrong to me. I dint get a sense that I was shooting the weapon.

Yea, the multiplayer is good.. except for the damn ‘lag’ when refreshing (or getting pings) – thats annoying..

Still for some reason I modify the graphics settings and it doesn`t change, still I think this games will be the reason why I upgrade the mobo and gfx card :)

The single player is imho buggy (scripting anyway)

ah good only t3, its downloading at 200kb, about 30-40 minutes.

Already ordered my Athlon 64 4000+, an SLI nforce 4 and 6800 Ultra mmmmmmmm… Yeah single player is seriously botched, dice always seem to do very poor AI. But battlefield was never really about single player.

The lag does seem to be an issue, though I doubt its my connection no other game is so laggy. Hopefully all will be fixed for release. Then again we can’t all have t3 <glares menacingly at peter_b>

Nice to see that current gen hardware is still able for these new engines…http://www.hothardware.com/#news866
I’ll wait for the Stalker and FEAR engines though! :D

I still think Stalker is either going to be really really good or really really bad, the level of freedom it’ll give the player doesn’t really leave much middle ground. As for F.E.A.R. I really can’t wait, hopefully it’ll be one of the best releases this year.
