InactiveHey all,
although I’m still in contact with some of the people involved in games in Ireland, not being there anymore doesn’t help to get the word out…
Just to let you know what happened recently:
http://www.bitrabbit.netSo, yeah, we’re still here :) It’s been bad times for video games, and mobile particularly, so we consider ourselves very lucky , releasing stuff!!!
And I can’t believe it’s now been 2 years I left Dublin and Ireland…

InactiveActually, BitRabbit is still an Irish company :) After all, when I left for my homeland, that was just one less people working from Dublin…
Concerning French developers, I know some small companies who get some funding provided there is a "cultural" dimension to their games, but I haven’t heard of some benefiting from tax credit.

Keymasterwell I think the French cultural link is not too onerous, a script in French and a number of criteria like that. Certain types of games, like FPS won’t be funded but I know that branches of multinationals based in France can apply so it might be worth looking into!
I have the original outline approved by the EC if you would like to take a look…I can e-mail it on.

InactiveThere are bazillions of small french developers out there – I was amazed by how many. They do get funding\tax benefits, so it might be worth shifting your HQ ;)
