      I beg to differ.

      Nono looks nothing like Chibi Robo. Looks, design, colour…visually they are both only small. That is their only common factor.

      Also, knowing Japanese pretty well, I’d say Chibi Robo won’t speak that much… maybe even not at all, as opposed to Nono who sometimes just would not shut it!

      i didn’t say it was a direct rip off – i just meant they looked similar.
      the cylinder body, the stick-like arms and legs and clumpy feet, the round eyes.

      i thought it was kinda scary too!
      the way all the different ‘gods’ ulysses came across had way more power than him and could have crushed them at any time.
      it always felt like they had no hope really, and ulysses was a doomed man!
      and the floating bodies of course.

      i guess it was kind of like a fairy tale – those things are really scary for children! not always happy endings, people cursed for life, all that malarky.

      except ulysses was already cursed, cursed to soar through all the GAAAAL-IX-SEE, in search of earth…FOREVER!
