I liked an idea I saw posted on the RPS comments; make the pilots dogs :D
May 19, 2010 at 3:58 pm #45768AnonymousInactive
Yeah definitely – would be good for enhancing the character of the game :)
Might make for a nifty patch at a later date?
May 19, 2010 at 3:59 pm #45769AnonymousInactive

Congrats guys, that’s brilliant.
You must be really happy with yourselves.

Yeah, we are really happy Sofox with the response. 3000 beta keys went today in about 4 hours after a press release from Rock Paper Shotgun. It’s great to see DogFighter being hosted on other peoples PC, and then jumping in and shooting them out of the skies! :P

Dark Water Studios’ DogFighter STEAM link:
June 14, 2010 at 10:03 pm #45870AnonymousInactive
Bought it just now.
Ah, the pleasures of Steam, buying games without even leaving the chair. It’s a bit of a risk for me since I’m running Ubuntu as my main Desktop operating system. I’ll see how it runs under Wine.
By the way, let us know how the game performs on Steam. By an interesting turn of events, it seems that the PC has gone to being the best platform for indie developers while major developers seem to focus more on consoles and portables. Knowing how the game does on Steam could give other indie developers a great indication of whether it’s a good platform to pursue.

#1 currently on Indie top sellers
I’m ok with being beaten by half price Crysis
