Regarding GoW on the PC, three interesting points…

Gears of War for PC will feature five new campaign chapters, a new multiplayer mode, and a new game editor.[/quote:4d49de304e]
      Yay for extra content!

It will also take advantage of new DirectX 10 technology.[/quote:4d49de304e]
      Sounds like Vista only. :(

Peter Moore also had another secret to spill regarding Gears developer Epic. From now on Games for Windows – Live will be integrated into Unreal Engine 3. Given the widespread licensing of the technology this could prove to be a significant step.[/quote:4d49de304e]
      Hrm…:?

Games for Windows – Live will be integrated into Unreal Engine 3[/quote:316f0a8461]
Sounds to me like mac users might be able to get a live account for versions of unreal licensed games and will be able to play against PC and xbox. If that is possible its a bit thick calling the tech "Games for Windows" something like "Microsoft’s Cross-Connect Platform" would make more sense.

They what now? "Oh look at us you can play two games on our console awhile before you can play it on the XBox360!" …pity most of their other stuff is multiformat. Fair enough Tretton has come out and said MGS4 is PS3 exclusive but note it wasn’t Kojima who said it and honestly given what Konami have said already I’d be very surprised if it remains exclusive for long.

Overall I’d say its pretty even at the moment with no one company really domianting proceedings. Personally I think in terms of learning what we didn’t know already I’d say the Nintendo keynote was most impressive, dates for Mario Kart Wii, Metroid Prime III and Mario Galaxies as well as some pretty impressive titles for the DS in the form of Zelda, Phoenix Wright and Contra was music to most peoples ears.

Did someone just say nintendo’s keynote was brilliant? Omg LMAO It was the worst

I was really impressed with the Nintendo and Microsoft stuff. Killzone and Gran Turismo look good on PS3 but apart from those and Little Big Planet there isn’t anything else I really want to play on it. I’d actually rank it as Nintendo, Microsoft and then PS3.

I reckon Wii Fit is going to help Nintendo mop up. The ‘zapper’ thing is a blatant gimmick but I want to play Call of Duty, House of the Dead or something similar with it. Same with the steering wheel for Mario Kart.

Ah, we have a NEOGAF’er in the house ^_^

Nintendo are sitting pretty – new casual games to ensure mainstream coverage and fappage, and updates to key franchises to keep the likes of me happy (Fire Emblem, Metroid 3, Super Mario Galaxy). I am not too bothered about Smash Bros or Mario Kart…

*sigh* See this is why I’m always skeptical about Sony’s press releases and Keynotes…

Tretton began by revealing that NCsoft will be creating games for the PlayStation Network that "will be found nowhere else", based on both current properties and new IP.[/quote:d94a8bea77]

NCsoft Europe CEO Geoff Heath has told GamesIndustry.biz that the games the company plans to release for PlayStation platforms are also likely to be released for PC.[/quote:d94a8bea77]

What did ye make of the Killzone 2 video? I thought it was pretty enough, but nothing close to what they promised, and they only showed about 2 seconds of gameplay everytime, more concentrating on the graphics than anything else. Although I was impressed by some of the animation though

I thought it looked pretty good, the opening part looked suitably chaotic.

Although the E3 trailer I saw for it wasn’t great I’m really looking forward to seeing how Haze turns out and I can’t wait to play Assassin’s Creed – Splinter Cell meets the Crusades!

Liked the Haze trailer a lot. I wasn’t too sure about the FMV when it started, but I think it actually fit in pretty well. Game looks like great fun too, looking forward to playing it.

Kentaree they released another Killzone 2 video with much more gameplay… not sure where I saw it but you can probably find it at GameTrailers. I like the environment alot, it looks great – detailed and oppressive. Not sure about the gameplay though, looks like another shooter-on-rails-with-end-of-level-bosses.
