Can’t believe anyone would have a bad word to say about that Game, I personally thought it was the best mod released for HL.
That is of course, because there wasn’t a Star Wars mod worth talking about….

Counter Strike, Shmounter Shite…
Dod kicks ass. But then Call of Duty arrived and stole my heart. To be fair, the gameplay in both games is just fantastic, with CoD winning on the graphic side (obviously). So I am eagerly awaiting DoD Source. WEll, if I had Steam…

Ugh, never really liked / got into DoD. It may have something to do with every server I ever joined being full of absolute muppets with no idea of tactics, strategy or the basic intelligence needed to throw a grenade somewhere thats NOT at their feet….
Don’t forget you’ll need either the Silver or Gold Package to get DoD: Source for free…retail versions dont get it.

Pretty much described what happens in most servers… I’ve long given up on DOD and CS for the reason any time I join within 5 minutes I’m accused of A) Being a n00b or B) Cheating. Luckily I am an admin on our COD servers so people are much nicer to you when they know you can kick em. But I’m still surprised by the stupidity of some people online.

Well I’ve had more experience with CS so I know the good servers now anyway but kicking is still a problem. Its ridiclous, even if the server is full of mediocre players and I go something like 10-0 (or a good score) I get accused of cheating and then kicked…
I’d never call someone a n00b though, apart from hating the term I find it incredible that people can forget that they had to start at the game sometime too…

Great thing about the IZA servers is how closely we work with Punk Buster. We make it a rule that admins can’t kick someone just because they think someone is cheating, we’ll pull down a pb screenshot if anything looks iffy it gets sent on to punkbuster and they either hardware or software ban the user. The main problem we have is people ignoring admin requests, generally its a case of a clan invasion(only 2 members from the same clan are allowed on our servers as its a recruiting server and there are way too many server-less clans floating about).
Slightly disappointed when I heard COD 2 wont be using PB but an inhouse anti cheat software…
